A Message from the Parnas

Shaare Zion continues to be the welcoming and inviting sh-l that it has always been. From the moment you arrive for services, whether for a daily minyan, a Shabbat or holiday service, you are greeted with a smile and the working tools you need to fully participate. We are there to help you through your darkest hours and there to cheer and celebrate your happiest moments. We are the sh-l that you chose to join for any number of reasons. You may have joined in the tradition set by your parents or due to a life-cycle event or because we are nearby your home. You may have joined because of an inter-action with our rabbi or because you once heard our cantor and choir. You may have joined our sh-l because you attended one of our many programmes in adult education or attended a Super Bowl party or enjoyed the camaraderie of our annual golf tournament. You may have joined our sh-l because you felt you wanted to get closer to Jewish traditions or the Jewish community. It really doesn’t make a difference because we are so glad to have you as members whatever your reasons.

Come and participate in services. Come and join a committee. Come and count yourself to the minyan so that others can daven and observe according to our traditions. Bring your children so that they may know who we are and, more importantly, who they are. Come to learn or come to teach. Just come. We are waiting to greet you. The only thing missing from our sh-l, is U.
